Short Description
3-7 years of database programming using SQL in SQL Server 2000 or 2005 database
Should have extensive experience in developing queries, extraction routines (using packages, stored procedures), tune queries and database for performance
Knowledge of relational databases and data structures is a must
Customer interaction and excellent communication skills are a must. The role will mandate the person to interact directly with the customer and understand the requirements/specifications, study the existing systems and develop the corresponding ETL scripts to extract data
Knowledge of SDLC (software development life cycle) is a must
Exposure to other development methodologies such as Agile, SCRUM would be an added advantage
