Short Description
Should have worked in a manufacturing organization with hands-on experience in handling Indirect taxes. Preference will be given to candidate having experience in Pharmaceutical Industry.
The position will report to the Head of Taxation.
The candidate will be responsible for -
- Compliance of all excise and service tax procedure in all units
- Compliance of EOU procedures, systems and control
- Compliance of Sales tax/VAT for Maharashtra and Goa
- Efficiently trouble shoot all excise, service tax & sales tax issues
- Identify and report areas of weakness along with remedial measure.
- Co-ordination with Excise & VAT Auditors, Statutory/Internal Auditors and Tax Consultants.
- Liasoning with Excise & VAT department in Maharashtra & Goa.
- Knowledge of Customs is desirable.
The candidate should have zeal to work with efficiency, complete assignments within the expected time frame and must have excellent communication skills.
Frequent visit to manufacturing units is envisaged.
Compensation will not be a constraint for the right candidate.
