Job Description
Title: Lead Client Issues Engineer (Senior/Principle Software Engineer)
Languages: C++, SQL (Microsoft SQL Server 2000/2005, Sybase 12, Oracle 10g), VB/C#.
Year of experience: 7 – 15
Responsibilities:
This individual is responsible for debugging and researching performance and functional issues in C++ and SQL code. This individual must be an extremely proficient coder with a deep understanding of algorithms, data structures, and the Microsoft Windows operating systems. This individual is an expert problem solver, who is able to read large amounts of both C++ and SQL code quickly and develop a deep understanding of that code, detect flaws in its functionality and/or performance and be able to turn around fixes in a timely fashion. This is a high-profile technical role, so Interfacing with clients and client-facing employees is essential.
Requirements:
7 – 10 years of C++ and SQL coding experience
Expert-level understanding of algorithms, data structures, and computational efficiency.
Deep understanding of machine architecture and operating systems.
Understanding of DCOM, .NET remoting, and ODBC.
Understanding of N-tiered architectures in a Microsoft environment.
Fluent English skills and the ability to communicate flawlessly in English.
.NET experience a plus.
