We are looking for a commitment from you of at least 12 months on 28 days on 28 days off rotation in Doha, Qatar. There is then a possibility for this to be extended.

The workscope is general platform maintenance as follows but not limited to:~

• Provide technical support to the maintenance department in relation to rotating equipment.
• Supervise the work performed by a Filipino workforce.
• Day to day planning of jobs, including raising, completing, ordering of materials etc.
• Provide technical training to the Filipino staff.
• Liaise with onshore engineering on technical issues.
• Assist on the Instrumentation and Electrical side of the job, the systems used offshore are PLC5

The suitable engineers would ideally be mechanical engineers with knowledge of controls, specifically PLC5. It is also necessary that you have extensive experience in Solar Turbines, they are the main turbines used offshore, but not limited to. You will also need to hold valid offshore and medical certificates.

We are only interested in talking to you if you have direct experience and can speak fluent English – sorry to be blunt but we cannot afford to waste time with these roles.

The correct engineers would be covered by the Employee’s Liability Insurance and local Qatar taxes would be paid, but a contract would be signed between you and the employer in order for you to take care of their own in Country tax, N.I. etc.

The rates would be:-

$950.00 per 12 hour day
$110.00 per overtime hour
$275.00 per mobilisation and demobilisation day
$385.00 per onshore standby/training day
