JOB DESCRIPTION

• by his/her assessment of the Suppliers Quality Systems, and through Quality Audits, to participate into the
Selection Process of new suppliers; validate the choice of new suppliers that are doing export to the
European Entities
• to manage the Non conformities action plan (using the 8D format) and securization of European site in case of
defects
• to drive the Initial Sample validation process, from definition of the requirements & needs to suppliers, up to the
validation, and drives-up the fiability levels of Supplier’s components & sub-assembly during life cycle
• apply the SLA and make sure that the deliverable at each step of the SLA is met
• train and support the local SQA in their daily missions


Responsibilities
To ensure the APQP methodology in the process of new Bought-Out Parts (BOP) with the support and the co-
operation of the Project Quality Engineer and the Project Buyer from India
Make sure all incoming inspection activities are performed and aligned with quality expectations of Western
European Plants (Sweden, Germany, France and Italy)
Approve dispatching to Europe after incoming inspection control protocol is fulfilled
Manage supplier progress plans in co-operation with the plant buyers
Audit local suppliers and approve new suppliers


Profile
Masters/ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with a specialisation in quality (not mandatory). A major in forging, casting and machining
technologies a plus.
Minimum 3 years experience as an SQA in an industrial environment
Results oriented with strong written and oral communications skills
Ability to work into a matrix organisation
International mind set, experience in India Industrial environment (preferably in the Railway Industry)
Minimum bi-lingual (fluent English & German required, Italian or French is a plus)
Outstanding negotiator, diplomatic touch, firm, show curiosity for new area, quick, positive attitude, driving force
for proposals, autonomous, hands-on, organized, available, team player; with good analysis , synthesis &
abstraction abilities

Note

After a 3 to 6 months training period in Germany, Italy and France, mandatory relocation to India (Hosur)

Scope of Entity
• any European & American BF&C entity (mainly Amiens, Witten , Piossasco, Landskrona and Greenville)


Mission
• to support the Quality Assurance for the Purchasing Platform India currently located in the plant of Hosur-
Bangalore in India,
• to apply the SQA policy (incl. reaching PPM targets) on behalf of the European entities such as Witten,
Amiens, Piosassco , Landskrona and Greenville among others for all parts imported throught the Purchasing
platform India,
• to coordinate the sourcing activities with the European Purchasing teams from quality and technical point of
view (design issues, material equivalence, compliancy to norms, request of deviation from local suppliers,....)
• to report validation activity on a weekly & monthly basis
