Key Job Responsibilities: Provides program and high level administrative support to the Director of Community Investment and Global Children’s Foundation. Handles a broad range of duties to facilitate the charitable giving of the Corporation and philanthropic investments of the Foundation Reports to: Director, Community Investment and Global Children’s Foundation
• Bachelor degree is preferred or equivalent experience
• 0-1years of experience in philanthropic or nonprofit sector
• Knowledge of Grants Administration
• Be highly organized, detail orientated, able to set priorities and handle multiple tasks with time sensitive priority.
• Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, excellent command of English language, vocabulary and grammar.
• Ability to work independently and in teams
• Experienced and skilled at database management and word processing including Microsoft Office and GIFTS database.
• Ability to understand the business of Global Children’s Foundation and the related goals of the Foundation and the Community Investment Program
Program
• Maintains a working knowledge of the mission, strategic direction, annual budgets and timelines of both the Community Investment Program and the Foundation
• Manages U.S. /India Matching Gift and Employee Scholarship Programs
• Assist in the development of comprehensive policies and procedures manuals for Community Investment Program and the Foundation
• Helps develop and implement a global employee engagement program
• Helps develop, maintain and update Global Children’s Foundation’s on-line community presence, including quarterly publications and dynamic exchange of ideas amongst employees globally
• Conducts program specific research for new global philanthropic investments
Administrative
• Serves as first point of contact to internal and external audiences by providing information, handling inquires and ensuring that all business is promptly and reliably handled.
• Schedules meetings and produces materials to support the work of the Director.
• Assists with preparation and edit of write-ups for grant dockets
• Monitors the charitable giving and grants process through grants management software and check preparation systems
• Provides administrative support to global employee volunteer programs
• Assists with Foundation Board and related meeting materials and logistics, including drafting meeting minutes, scheduling attendees and arranging travel.
• Organizes and maintains extensive electronic and paper charitable contributions and grant files.
Position Requirements: Qualifications
