Short Description
We are looking for dynamic and enthusiastic candidates for the position of Desktop Engineer for one of our leading clients based in Bangalore/Bengaluru.
Job Description:
1. Assembling of a computer, troubleshooting of computer hardware issue
2. Loading and troubleshooting of Ms windows operating systems, Red hat fedora operating systems
3. Fundamentals of TCP-IP network
4. Configuring network settings to browse the network
5. Crimping, punching of network cable and cable testing using pair tester
6. Adding the computer to a work group or domain
7. Adding Peripherals like printers and scanners to the computer or on the network
8. Configuring browser for internet access
9. Configuring Outlook/ outlook express for Internet mail or exchange server
10. Back up of the computer and specifically of the mail server
11. To be able to install a desktop UPS and configure the software
12. Updating the operating system and updating of anti virus
13. To be able to remotely manage and repair desktops using remote administration tools.
14. To be able to co-ordinate with the back office functions to get the quotes for IT products and finalize the same with the purchase and/concerned authority
