Position : Lead Oracle/SQL/DB2 Administrator
Duration : Permanent
Location : Visakhapatnam
Required skills:
5 to 8 years of experience working with database maintenance and application support on DB2 or Oracle or SQL Server
Will act as the single of point of contact for the customer and responsible for deliverables.
Should be able to lead a team of DBAs by assigning, and providing assistance as required and ensuring that the tasks are completed within the timelines specified
Come up with pro active analysis of performance improvements, process improvements and recommend the same to the customer
Estimate timelines for trouble tickets, new data model s, database refreshes etc.
Should be a team player and be able to motivate and get the work completed as scheduled.
Create reports and analysis to the higher level management.
Participate in managerial / executive level meetings and update the progress, improvements made.
Very strong communication and presentation skills.
Should own complete responsibility and lead the team by example.
Experience working and leading support teams in a 24 x 5 support environment.
Ensure SLAs are met
Should be willing to travel internationally for short durations as required by the customer.
Carry a mobile phone (to act as a pager) to be able to handle any emergencies.
Degree in Computer Science
Desired skills
Experience with multiple databases such as DB2 and Oracle or DB2 and SQL Server is a plus.
Valid Business Visa to travel to USA when needed is a plus
Experience with supporting databases for ERP applications – PeopleSoft on Oracle
Exposure to MFG Pro / AS 400 is a plus.
